VIDOL PRESENTS “I AM THE FUTURE” TOWN HALL
USVI-April 5, 2022- Labor Commissioner Gary Molloy reminds the public about the Department of Labor- Workforce Development Youth & Apprenticeship Team in conjunction with the Governor’s Millennial Council “I Am The Future” Youth Town Hall today, April 5, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the Antilles’ Prior Jollek Hall on St. Thomas and will be streamed live on Department of Labor and Government House- U.S. Virgin Islands Facebook pages.
The “I Am The Future” campaign is designed to engage young people of the Virgin Islands and bring home the message that being prepared for your future, and our collective future is a responsibility and a commitment that we all need to be a part of. It reinforces that VIDOL Youth services programs are a great opportunity for our youth to build the toolset required to write their own story and construct their road. VIDOL Youth Services is here to help and assist our youth with gaining the experience and knowledge to build a career that will allow them to build the next Virgin Islands.
Virgin Islands Department of Labor’s Youth and Apprenticeship Team will be joined by Lt. Governor Tregenza Roach, Chairman Michael Carty of the Virgin Islands Workforce Development Board, and Commissioner Gary Molloy to discuss the Workforce Development plans for the youth. In addition, Khalarni Rivers, President of the Governor’s Millennial Council will be part of the discussion to discuss the council’s plans and vision.
This town hall will enable the youth team to share pertinent information about the Summer Youth Work Experience program, Work, Learn and Earn program, Work Readiness Initiative with the Department of Human Services, and our plans. In addition, special guest Pumpa will perform live.
