WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD SEEKS PUBLIC COMMENTS ON VI STATE PLAN

The Virgin Islands State Workforce Development Board (VISWDB) has drafted a new Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Unified State Plan. WIOA requires Governors to submit four-year plans for the state’s workforce development strategy. The Unified Plan is designed to help job seekers access education, training, support and employment in good paying jobs, in-demand jobs and to match employers with skilled workers.

The plan is posted online and available for public comment via email or mail through May 27, 2020. To review the plan and comment visit www.viwib.org.
