COMMISSIONER GARY MOLLOY ANNOUNCES VIDOL IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2025 LABOR INVESTING FOR TOMORROW (LIFT) PROGRAM

USVI – Virgin Islands Department of Labor Commissioner Gary Molloy announces that applications are now open for the 2025 Labor Investing for Tomorrow (LIFT) Program. Founded in 1989, the LIFT Summer Internship Program is one of the Virgin Islands’ most outstanding work experiences.
The LIFT program is an 8-week paid internship that offers college juniors, seniors, recent graduates, and graduate students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Interns will work up to thirty (30) hours per week and receive hourly compensation.

In addition to gaining practical work experience, LIFT interns will engage in mentorship initiatives, enhance their growth through workshops and community experience, and develop skills with the option to earn college credits.
The eligibility requirements include the following:

• Completed at least 60 credit hours or more.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
• Submission of an official transcript.
• Current resume.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency.
• Valid photo ID.
• Be between the ages of 18 – 25, inclusive.

To apply for this highly competitive program, interested individuals must complete the LIFT application online at www.vidol.gov/youth. Apply as soon as possible as space is limited this year. The application deadline is April 11, 2025.
