The Virgin Islands Department of Labor brings to you, Workers’ Compensation Claim submissions at your fingertips. Less paper! Less mess! Less stress! The claims Gateway allows Employers to track all claim details, from claim descriptions and causes of the loss, through claim financials, which are available at your convenience. Through our Gateway Employers can access more accurate, complete, and reliable data, monitor claim trends, and identify key loss drivers. The Department of Labor can now promote successful coverage outcomes, provide prompt claim payments, identify high risk industries, get claim information in real time, institute additional workplace safety initiatives and provide accurate loss history.
Simplify your claims processes
- Eliminate time-consuming processes of document management by attaching files directly to claims
- Prevent penalties for late filing.
- Reduce paper manual processing costs and save time by sending cases to the Department in real time.
When submitting online claims be sure to:
- Complete all fields
- Be as descriptive as possible as it aides in minimizing claim processing time
- A Surgeon’s Report, Medical Release Form, Claim for Compensation for Disability Form, Incident/Accident Reports and Police Reports are all still needed but are not required to submit a claim. (But it does help expedite the claim process)
- Be sure to print, sign, date and attach all claim documents before submitting the claim.
- All other documents can be submitted to Workerscompensation@dol.vi.gov. Please put the injured name and the claim number in the subject line. EX: Jane Doe 011113 STT
A claim is not fully submitted until an Employer’s Frist Report and Employee’s Injury Report form (FROI) is signed by the Injured Worker and is received by the agency via claim email.

VENTIV CLAIMS GATEWAY is web-based software that allows for quick data entry of the First Report of Injury (FROI) and First Notice of Loss (FNOL) while showing high level dashboards and reports with drill down capability. This document provides instructions on how to complete tasks within VENTIV CLAIMS GATEWAY. Combined with training, the user manual can be used to quickly find instructions on operating the VENTIV CLAIMS GATEWAY application.

Used to disclose all medical records or other information regarding my treatment, hospitalization and/or outpatient.

Used by employees to claim compensation for disability.
